Programmes designed to help you train for WAI Running Festival
The WAIK programmes are a collaboration between Run Wellington, James Kuegler Coaching and RERE.
Category E. 'Easier Courses'
Comprehensive training schedules to take the guesswork out of your training and provide you with the structure required to complete the WAI2K 5km/7km/12km/30km/43km course.
These programmes are specific to the Category E ('Easier') courses.
5km/7km/12km programmes are 10 weeks and start October 4.
30km/43km programmes are 15 weeks and start August 30.
Prior to embarking on either the 30km or 43km training programme we suggest you consider following the Long Term Development Stage 1 Programme.

These programmes are specific to the Category A ('More Advanced') courses.
Programmes starts August 30.
The volume of the programme ranges from 6 - 12+ hours per week.
Prior to embarking on one of these programmes we suggest you consider following the Long Term Development Stage 1 or Stage 2 Programme.
